This very special English Tudor home was built in 1924. My clients love the garden, art, and travel. They over the years have collected antiquities, African art, contemporary art, photography, as well as art textiles. The home is set on beautiful grounds and the gardens are also a very special element to the home. The furniture for the living room was selected with the main idea of comfort and to be inviting. The challenge was to be surrounded by incredible pieces of antiquities, art and not to look like a gallery/ museum. The furniture, fabrics, drapery treatment and color palette of taupes, oranges, reds were selected to give the space a strong sense of warmth and comfort. Chenilles, leaf patterned soft wools, mohair, crewels all contribute to this very comfy, intimate living space.
